We expect to travel in October. September would be nice but I'm not getting my hopes up. I wish we could go get him tomorrow, but of course there is too much bureaucracy for that to happen... apparently the powers-that-be in China would rather keep these kids in orphanages for an extra 3, 4 or 5 months rather than hire enough people to review applications quicker and get them adopted out faster. Especially after seeing these videos, I have a really difficult time comprehending that. Plus he might very well have his lip surgery before we finally get to adopt him, one which most likely would have been better done here in the states, with our insurance paying for it, and with a family to care for him rather than sitting alone in a hospital for weeks on end.
I suppose I should stop now before I get even more upset than I already am.
Please pray that our little guy can hold out until we are given permission to finally go get him.

Kate we are hoping to travel by Sept. and are with Homeland also. Your measurements are similar to our daughter Mia's at 17 mths. old on Gottcha day.
